That has seen better times. Love the part that they painted over the 'rotten' wood... Ha.
I hope the new wood will be used to replace it. Great picture.
Larry Bliss: Thank you Astrid...
Hmmm a bit of rot going on there...
Larry Bliss: It's a government building they are renovating, so your metaphor is apt.
Sadly, this is all too familiar to me, Larry. Wood. Gotta love it but also protect it!
Larry Bliss: This shows a lack of protection...

Ah... oh dear! Looks like rather a lot of decay.
Larry Bliss: and so I am drawn to it.
That's the trouble with wood Larry, show it some water and this what you get.
Larry Bliss: It's tricky stuff...
I have an extra one if you nedd it.
Larry Bliss: The renovators I am sure would appreciate the gift...
One of the worst things you can do to wood is paint it, unless you use paint that is microporous and allows the wood to breathe.
Larry Bliss: In my old apartment house the wonderful hardwood floors were painted over. Shocking!

Excellent picture - especially the composition.
Larry Bliss: Thank you very much Louis.
Nicely assembled!
Larry Bliss: I'll give a tip of the hat to the carpenters...smile
