Doing a few roof repairs, Larry?

I wonder if some clever cutting up of old truck tyres [aka tires] might give you cheaper but similarly durable product?
Larry Bliss: The old truck tires sounds like a good idea... I wonder if the reverse would work.

The UK used to have a huge slate industry (North Wales in particular). We still have plenty of slate but now we import it for building - a crazy, crazy situation.
Larry Bliss: From what I hear, everything in the UK is now crazy...
Recycled slate. Holes already drilled
Larry Bliss: I learn something new every day here...
I love it, stone anything, really.
Larry Bliss: I am with you. As Dylan almost said, everybody must get stone...
For some reason, Larry, I have always been attracted to slate as a building material.
Larry Bliss: It always looks good...

WOW, they can be re-used, just make sure you nails go through the holes and are covered up by the one on top. I used a few of there to paint the family name on, to be hanged next to the front door.....
Larry Bliss: Very creative of you...
