Brown Before Their Time

For some reason a few of the leaves are turning colors and falling off in early September; perhaps it is due to the long dry spell we had.

Really?...not getting that in newyork. The leaves have simply refused to fall. This picture tells me something....

Larry Bliss: A good message, one I can use. When are you going to turn on the light in your very dark room? smile

We're not as dry as normal, but some of our leaves have fallen from the intense heat. We used to live in North Carolina & Virginia. Still have friends and family in your neck of the woodssmile
Larry Bliss: It's a fine neck of the woods, isn't it?
We have had strange affects in the UK too, Larry, but ours is due to exessive rainfall.
Larry Bliss: Well, we have the heat theory and the rain theory. Maybe it's all due to global warming. Paging Al Gore! smile

Hmm.. that's odd then. Some of our trees are losing their leaves early but we've got some sort of fungus affecting them. Good shot; I like the thought of autumn coming.
Larry Bliss: And now fungus enters the mix! Yes, with this heat and humidity, which I like less with each passing year, I like autumn more and more.
Yippee, summer is over and winter is Nigh grin
Larry Bliss: It's just around the corner, folks. Gather nuts while ye may! smile
