This gives the impression of strength. Is the tree as massive as it appears, Larry?
Larry Bliss: It is a large tree indeed--two people could hug it at the same time. smile

Let's hope the tree is not groaning, Larry?!
Larry Bliss: I heard no odd sounds...

Both parts of the same world Larry
Larry Bliss: Good point, Chris. I like having multiple "worlds" in my pictures...

I see a battle of wills going on here Larry. Great detail in that trunk and I see some past amputations.
Larry Bliss: As Arthur Dent says, we'll see who rusts first. smile
Excelentes tonos y texturas amigo..... Salud.
Larry Bliss: Gracias, amigo.
The trunk will still be there when the cable has gone
Larry Bliss: It's a sure bet you're right...
very clever Larry
Larry Bliss: Thanks for visiting... there may be more trunks to come...
That looks like a BIG tree.
Larry Bliss: It is a mighty oak... I estimate the trunk to be one meter wide...
Quite a contrast! Just as well there's no gutteridge, otherwise you'd be infringing a certain person's territory!
Larry Bliss: I am very careful about gutteridge. Our gutteridge is usually very dull...
Great contrat of matters and times...Grettings.
Larry Bliss: It took a lot of time to grow this...

I like the textures in the bark very much. B&W seems to suit this.
Larry Bliss: The original had very little color in it.
This is a beautiful old tree Larry... some very large branches have been cut off on either side of the where the cable crosses it... there must be hydro lines near the tree... i find it sort of sadgrin....petersmile
Larry Bliss: I'll have to look next time...
