Well the architect built a wonderful building before going off the rails...
as for Ethics Commissions... they all started off the rails and will never get any better...

this is a great composition Larry....petersmile
Larry Bliss: It is a wonderful building... ethics are in short supply in Raleigh.

I actually like the architecture - I think it's kind of cool - and the photo with the snow is great! I especially like the muppet eyes peeking over the panels on the right!
Larry Bliss: I hadn't noticed the muppet eyes... good eye!

The architect clearly had a knock on the head before designing this mess Larry!
Larry Bliss: It's not a mess... it's eccentric... smile

Actually I like it, especially with its covering of snow.

I absolutely love the shot, Larry. The tight crop is perfect to show off all the crazy angles.
Larry Bliss: Thanks, Mary... I could take a million pictures of this building...
The house of The Wolf (at Wall Street)
Larry Bliss: I haven't seen that one yet, but I hear it's good...
I wonder if he was related to the lunatic who designed the new library in Worcester (the British Worcester). Known as the Hive I have posted pictures of it on shutterchance. I prefer this building.
Larry Bliss: I hope it stays in use...
I like very much the idea and the result !
Larry Bliss: Thank you, Zeb. The building is practically on my doorstep, so you all will see it again...
An interesting capture with great textures.
Larry Bliss: Thank you, Jacquelyn Ann

Be careful what you wish for Larry, the States seem to have large quantities of the stuff when they get it. It only delays Santa.
Larry Bliss: We can't delay Santa!
A fabulous shot of lines and angles, Larry, softened by the snow. I like the eyes!
Larry Bliss: I didn't notice them for a while...
I like the eyeballs, middle right....
Larry Bliss: they are keeping an eye out for photographers
i really like the way that you framed this Larry... this building has angles... arches... squares and such...
this is new snow... i can see water running down where it melted on the center apex....petersmile
Larry Bliss: It is a great building...

I love this roof, great lines here and I love the colours.
It almost seems alive, see those two balls at the right, they look like eyes looking up smile
Larry Bliss: It is an observant building...

I think the architect needs to lie down in a darkened room Larry..
Larry Bliss: A good therapy for all of us...
I thought I had seen this before. It is delightfully crazy!
Larry Bliss: I forgot that I had posted earlier in the year... what we in the States call a senior moment...
what a great sight
Larry Bliss: Thank you, Chantal...
What a memory! I thought this was an original - till I read that I had commented already. You have 14 views and 17 comments, the numbers say.

Stop being such a load of stick in the muds you lot .. Where would the world be without having lots of eccentric buildings and notions ... For one we would have nothing to talk about and we would all be wondering why we lead such boring lives.
Larry Bliss: Well said...
Excellent eye candy for those of us who love architecture, Larry. And snow, too, of course. smile
Larry Bliss: Eye candy is a good way to put it...

I love how you fill the picture frame with this almost haphazard roof structure and snow patches.
