J'aime les arbres et je n'aime pas top qu'on les coupe.
Larry Bliss: J’adore les souches d’arbres. Ils ont tellement de choses à regarder. (I love tree stumps. They have so much to look at.)
Must have been a very old tree!
Larry Bliss: Quite old and sick, judging from the decay in the middle.
That looks like it was very big, and old...
Larry Bliss: Inner Raleigh is full of old trees like this...

That must have been some tree, Larry - do you remember it?
Larry Bliss: Not in particular, but I appreciate its many neighbors.
I have a feeling this broke the hearts of many, Larry, when it had to be cut down. (sigh)
Larry Bliss: Frankly I am glad I didn't see its demise.

This looks like old and big and ready to break with the first storm if they hadn't taken him down, Larry. That tree must have given a lot of timber.
Larry Bliss: I can see why they took it down. If it had fallen in a storm it could have taken out a house and power lines.

Simply splendid Larry.
Larry Bliss: It is a grand ruin... more to come..
Perhaps an American Elm. Over three hundred were removed from Charlottetown in one large removal a couple of years ago. Every elm is watched.
Larry Bliss: It could well be... My gosh, 300... the mind reels...

This is like some kind of social comment.
Larry Bliss: None was intended when I took the pictures, but it could be taken as such.
That tree was probably older than the USA
Larry Bliss: Ehhh... maybe.
