photoblog image Lake Wheeler, Raleigh, Early January

Lake Wheeler, Raleigh, Early January

Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination...
Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft)
will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent... Always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said:
“It's not where you take things from - it's where you take them to”. - Jim Jarmusch

Mice use of minimalism here, Larry.

Did you steal that big plug, Larry?
Larry Bliss: Only for the camera... smile
This is a really beautiful image, Larry - I love the misty softness. Nice write up, too!!
Larry Bliss: Thanks for saying so. Jim Jarmusch makes very good films...

I think this is a terrific image Larry, possibly the best thing you've ever posted. KKEP IT UP!
Larry Bliss: Umm... Wow! It's humbling to hear this, because I took it in 2000, very early in my photographic journey. I hope I haven't peaked. smile
One of your finest Larry.
Larry Bliss: Thank you, Bill...

A worthy photograph for a book Larry. I remember reading this statement before - so true.
Larry Bliss: Well... I am honored by your praise...
This could pass as a Master's watercolour, Larry.
Larry Bliss: Well, I am again honored by your comment...thank you...

Stealing in this sense is not an issue, but what you make out of it, is the cherry on top, Excellent picture.
Larry Bliss: I agree...
I like Mr Jarmusch's comment, I steal all the time, sometimes only knowing after I've done it, sometimes as I do it ( you know I'm talking about photo's right? ) I really like the minimalism of this Larry.
Larry Bliss: As I look through my archives, I realize I have stolen from myself. smile I ought to sue.
