This window on a ruined house was left wide open for last month's storm.

My photographs don’t go below the surface. They don’t go below anything.
They’re readings of the surface. I have great faith in surfaces. A good one is full of clues. --Richard Avedon

Glorious decay...
Larry Bliss: things are so dull when they are new...
Yes... and I like that pungent quote...
cool shot Larry. Almost spooky with the other window "in the frame" and that dark spot where something could be lurking.....
Larry Bliss: Lurking is good... smile

Larry Bliss: Luckily it seems to have found some renovators...

Larry Bliss: I do like the black spacey spot...
It's palpable, Larry.

If this house could talk, the stories it could tell, Larry. I love this view that you can see the other window. To me this is a likey, Larry.
Larry Bliss: thank you, Astrid...

Yes, if this house could tell ... nevertheless, an impressive image of decay!

Good idea; let the winds go right through. Looks like they took some of the paint off, though.
Larry Bliss: It was left with the window open during our hurricanes. I tried to shut it but to no avail...

There is a beauty in this Larry, even though it goes against our instincts for perfection.
Larry Bliss: Perfection is reserved to God.
Sad to think this was once someones's home and has a story to tell.
Larry Bliss: Many stories...
Great capture of peeling paint, it can only get more photogenic as time goes on.
Larry Bliss: mThe area is in the process of restoration. I would gladly trade rebuilt majestic homes for photo ops.
To blow the dust out of it....,
Larry Bliss: It would take a lot of breath...

A house looks like this and they worry about what happens to the windows in a storm? At least it makes a great picture.
Larry Bliss: Indeed it does...
Fascinating surfaces they are, too!
Larry Bliss: I [heart] surfaces
It looks as if those were the original paint colours, Larry. You've captured the textures brilliantly.
Larry Bliss: Thank you, Beverly...
